‘Te iubesc’ (Ro) or ‘I love you’ (Eng) captures the essence of my love to my father, my super hero. The base of this painting is organic (it’s the first time I’ve experimented this) and is red wine, that I spilled on the canvas intentionally, and subjected to oxidation, prior to continuing to layer up the acrylic paints. Then the letters from ‘te iubesc’ were cut from random magazines and glued to it. My father made this red wine with his own hands, with so much passion and love, as he always does. Casa Novac wine connects me to my home roots at a much higher level than genetics does, it’s something that cannot be described in words, but with inner feelings and colour.
